I’m serious. This kid is my new idol. I want him playing in my band.
Say it with me. ”Aww.”
One day, I’ll get the guts to do this.
He stopped dead in his tracks. He started walking back to the small, energetic coffee shop he’d just left. He was searching for her - almost frantically. He quickly found her, and asked her to take a seat. He quietly fought the urge to yell. So much emotion had invested inside of him leading up to this very moment. He pulled up a chair, and for a moment, let go of every inhibition he’d ever had.
“Listen, babe. We don’t know each other at all, so this may come as a surprise, but I love you with all of the air that I breathe.” He shuffled, nervous that he’d just made a scene in his favorite part of town. ”I’ve been watching you come in here for three weeks now. You always order the Chai Latte, and sit right over there.” He pointed to a table directly next to the window. ”The sun is usually illuminating one half of your face, as if someone was telling me ‘There she is! That’s the girl you’ve been looking for all along!’.” He lets out a soft chuckle. ”You’re even more beautiful up close.”
She folded her legs and gently crossed her arms. Her body language was telling him that he’d gone too far. ”In any other situation, I would call you a creep and walk away,” she said with a smirk. ”Tell me what makes this time any different than the others.”
“Frankly, I can’t,” he said. ”But if hadn’t been watching you all this time, I would’ve never had the pleasure of meeting the most beautiful girl in this entire damn city.”
She leaned towards his ear and whispered. ”Let’s get out of here. Take me somewhere I’ve never been. I want to know everything there is to know about you.”
“Ow.”
